Tasmanian Devil: Because of its powerful night cries, the Tasmanian Devil has been seen largely as an aberrant and harmful animal. The Tasmanian devils began to be killed in Australia by European settlers as they are considered relentless hunters of livestock and competitors in the hunt for wallaby. The Tasmanian devils often fall victim to the road: their shape, color and the relative slowness of movement make them very difficult to spot and avoid to time by motorists compared to other species of similar size.
